Tarixi va chiqarilishi
2020-yil mart oyining boshida, After Hours albomi chiqishidan ikki hafta oldin, The Weeknd ushbu qoʻshiqni Variety jurnalisti Jem Aswad ishtirokidagi tinglov sessiyasi davomida namoyish qilgan. Mazkur uchrashuvda Tesfaye qoʻshiq uchun musiqiy video tayyorlanganini ham tilga olgan. „Until I Bleed Out“ treki 2020-yil 20-mart kuni butun albom bilan birga rasman chiqarilgan.

Matni
Qoʻshiq matnida The Weekndning sobiq sevgilisi bilan munosabatlarining yakun topgani metaforik kuch orqali ifodalanadi. Unda xonandaning tanasidagi qon tugab borayotgani, yaʼni munosabatni davom ettirish uchun zarur boʻlgan kuch va energiya qolmagani ramziy tarzda aks ettirilgan.

Tanqidiy qabul
Qoʻshiq ijobiy baholarga sazovor boʻldi, asosan uning qorongʻi muhiti tanqidchilar tomonidan yuqori baholandi. The New York Times nashridan Jon Caramanica uni „albomning hissiyotlarga boy yakuniy qoʻshigʻi“ deb taʼrifladi. Billboard nashridan J’na Jefferson esa ushbu trekni After Hours albomidagi eng yaxshi oʻn ikkinchi qoʻshiq deb baholab, uning prodakshnini maqtadi, kuyini esa „video oʻyin uslubida“ dedi va undagi „gʻamgin aks sado“ albomdagi qarama-qarshi unsurlarni bir butun qilib, barchasini chiroyli tarzda yakunlab berganini taʼkidladi. Biroq Billboard keyinchalik qoʻshiqning toʻsatdan yakunlanishi tinglovchi uchun barcha his-tuygʻularni anglab olishni va ichki barqarorlikni topishni qiyinlashtiradi, deb yozadi.

Musiqiy klip
„Until I Bleed Out“ qoʻshigʻi uchun rasmiy klip birinchi marta 2020-yil 6-aprel kuni The Weekndning turli ijtimoiy tarmoqlardagi sahifalari orqali eʼlon qilindi. Klipni Anton Tammi suratga olgan. Unda, „In Your Eyes“ klipidagi voqealardan soʻng – yaʼni Tesfaye oʻldirilganidan keyin – uning ushbu albom erasi davomida shakllangan personaji oʻz sayohatini davom ettiradi.
